We recently unveiled a Kindle version of River Island’s transactional shopping app. This move makes River Island one of the first major retailers to extend their offering to the Amazon-owned platform and also marks the company’s determination to reach users throughout the m-commerce market. River Island is one of a very select group of UK retailers with Kindle apps, including Mothercare and Debenhams (both NN4M clients), ASDA and Lidl.

River Island already offers high-performing iPhone, Android, iPad and Blackberry apps, which have collectively achieved more than 3,600,000 unique device downloads and sent the retailer’s sales soaring.

The new Kindle app allows users to shop the entire River Island product range on the go, view trends and check in at local stores at the touch of a button. Users can share purchases via social media and check stock at their nearest store to avoid disappointment.

“As an ever expanding brand, NN4M has enabled us to allow our customers to shop across a multitude of devices. The launch of the app on Kindle offers our customers yet another device for shopping online.”

– Seveena Burgess, Site Experience Manager at River Island.

“We’re delighted to have brought River Island’s vision to life on Kindle. The success of River Island’s existing iPhone, Android, iPad and Blackberry apps has emphasized not only that customers find the app-based shopping experience far more immersive and satisfying than traditional websites, but that consumers are increasingly interested in a seamless experience across a range of devices.”
