We have been working with Debenhams since 2010. Since then we have created highly successful apps for the brand, including a UK iPhone app, an Ireland iPhone app, an Android app, an iPad app, a Beauty Club iPhone app and an in-store kiosk application.
Owing to the highly competitive UK High Street retail market, we wanted to enable and encourage customer engagement with the brand – not just the products on offer – through the design, development and operation of an iPhone mobile application. Having built a very effective and positive working relationship, we have been honoured to partner with Debenhams in further projects – creating Android and iPad versions of the iPhone app as well as an Ireland-specific version of the iPhone app, alongside the delivery of their hugely successful and innovative in-store kiosk application and two specialised iPhone applications.
Meeting expectations of seasoned app users, while satisfying demands of loyal customers who may be inexperienced in mobile commerce, our team delivered fully transactional apps that provide a rich customer experience – convenient, personal, social and integrated with in-store services.
The apps enable users to shop the full Debenhams range on-the-go, scan barcodes in-store to check prices, sizes and reviews, share products via email or social media, create wish lists, personalise the app with “My Debenhams,” send the contents of their shopping bag via email and find their nearest store and get directions. The retailer also sends out targeted push messages via the app with exclusive offers, sales and news.
The iPhone app was named Mobile Solution of the Year at the BT Retail Week Technology Awards in 2011.
